Carter's preschool class took a trip to a local Pumpkin Patch. It included a hay ride to the pumpkin field where every child could choose their own pumpkin. There was a hay bale maze which was also a big hit. But, my favorite part of the trip was that each child made a "dirt baby". A knee-high stocking was filled with a small scoop of grass seed and then a large scoop of dirt. Tie it off, add a face, and water it by sitting it in a cup of water. And you have a dirt baby that needs a haircut in 1-2 weeks!
