Memorial Day at the Coast

We spent Sunday afternoon and Monday at the NW tip of Oregon - Where the Columbia River flows into the Pacific Ocean. Our hotel had one of the best signs in town - check it out.

We did some short hikes, bike trails at Ft. Stevens State Park, and a few minutes at the beach. We managed to get sunburnt because it was overcast and 55 degrees. I KNOW that the sun can still burn you even when you can't see it, but I never seem to REMEMBER that fact! If you ask the boys about the weekend they will tell you about the pool at the hotel and the remains of an old shipwreck at the beach (2 pieces shown in photo at beach).
