Over the Labor Day weekend (yes, I know that I am a month behind in posting this!), the boys were excited for two "firsts". 1) Their first trip to CA, and 2) Their first time to meet their "new" cousins. The cousins, of course, are not new at all. It was just their first time to meet.
We traveled to Crescent City, CA (which is very near the border of Oregon) to meet Troy's cousin Johanna Mellom, her 2 daughters, and Troy's Aunt Ellie & Uncle Mike. We also had the pleasure of having Troy's mother, Betty, join us for the trip.
The travel itself was a breeze! I am REALLY ENJOYING the boys at this age! We were able to listen to audio books, color, visit, and generally have a nice time together on the 6+ hour drive. Wow, what a change from a couple of years ago!!!
During our visit we were able to play at the beach, visit a giant redwood forest, and visit the Great Cat World Park (Cave Junction, OR). We had a great time all around! And best of all, it was wonderful to visit with family and to see the "new" cousins have a blast together!
