I (Lisa) completed my first bicycle race on Sunday, July 25th. It was a time trial from Corbett High School to the top of Larch Mountain. 3816 ft of climbing over 16.5 miles. It is appropriately named OUCH (Oregon Uphill CHampionship). Before this starts sounding too good you must know that I was slow. Very slow -2hrs 3 mins. But, I had set this race as a goal to overcome my dislike of riding hills in Oregon. And I did it! :-)

Count me impressed! I hate climbing so much that I will completely reroute to avoid a hill (when possible).
