Here are a couple of shots from todays soccer game. Axel was drafted to play with Carter's team because they were short on players. He played goalie for the whole game. They both did a great job!

Our new yard
These photos are a few weeks old, but I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the spring blossoms from our yard. We are still trying to figure out what all the plants are and what to do with each one (trim, fertilize, remove, etc...)

Boys racing Bikes
Axel is 10. That means that he is old enough to officially enter Oregon Bike Race Association (OBRA) races as a Junior. Of course Troy was excited when he learned that. And the excitement was contagious! So Axel just completed his second time trial today. Troy had special permission to ride behind Axel during the race as long as he didn't help him in any way. Axel did great! And they both can't wait for him to do more races in the future. :)
Sunny Saturday on the Springwater
It is no surprise that we have gotten a lot of rain this spring. We do live in Portland after all. :) But, we are super excited to report that we have been blessed with 4 dry weekends in a row! We took advantage of the first sunny Saturday for a family bike ride on the Springwater Corridor. The boys were both trying out their new-to-them larger bikes with gears. It was a beautiful day and a fun ride. Hoping it will be the first of many this year!
Carter's 1st Soccer Game
Carter is playing soccer this spring. It is his first time to play soccer and many of the other boys have played for several years already. Carter is doing very well and we are proud to say he is enjoying it and has a great attitude!
Here are a couple of shots taken during his first game on their home field. He is number 5. But, I wanted to point out the view we have during his soccer games. Not too shabby! :)

Classic Carter
Carter is one of the funnest little guys around.
I thought you might enjoy a few pictures of impromptu fun Carter style.
The Ultimate Death Star Birthday
Aunt Tracy, Troy's sister, loves to give big gifts! Especially to our boys. We have been the grateful recipients of entire train systems and elaborate lego sets. Well, Tracy considered Axel's 10th birthday to be a milestone birthday worthy of a milestone gift. Enter the ultimate Lego Death Star.
This Lego project came with 3 spiral bound instruction manuals!
It took 5 people (Troy, Betty, Tracy, Axel & Carter) 20+ hours to complete!
But, boy is it neat! It has lots of moving parts and each "room" is from a scene in one of the movies.
Notice who stayed up to finish it. :)
Thank you, Tracy, for lots of fun and good memories!
